Flashing Gigabyte with Recovery Mode
You don’t need any flash tool or Computer or any other USB drivers to flash the firmware of Gigabyte with this method. You need just a flash file.
This process will erase all your Mobile data like
- Google and other accounts
- Downloaded Apps
- Media files (Photos, Videos, and Music files)
- Contacts
- System and app data
- App settings
Method – 1
This method deletes all your device data. So backup all data like photos, contacts and any other personal files, etc before flashing your phone. If you don’t understand recovery mode, please exit from it and contact the nearest customer support center.
- Download the Firmware file and move to SD Card storage.
- Then remove the SD card.
- Power off your Gigabyte Mobile, by holding the power button.
- Hold down the Volume Up + Power Button [Volume Down + Power Button].
- Release all buttons when you see Boot Mode appears on your screen.
- Then choose the Recovery option, by using to navigate Volume Buttons and to confirm Power Button.
- Next, You will see Android exclamation mark.
- While holding down the Power button press and release Volume Up Button.
- Navigate with volume Buttons to select wipe data/factory reset option and Press the Power Button.
- Afterward, use the Volume Buttons to select option YES and press Power button to confirm.
- Finally Select reboot system now option.
- Now, insert the SD card.
- Next, Firmware file must be in main storage {Do not put the file in the folder}, Like its below.
- Now Locate Downloaded Firmware file from Storage.
- After that, Tap on the Firmware file and install it.
- You have successfully updated your phone Firmware.
Method – 2
This method deletes all your device data. So backup all data like photos, contacts and any other personal files, etc before flashing your phone. If you don’t understand recovery mode, please exit from it and contact the nearest customer support center.
- Download the Firmware file and move to SD Card storage.
- Then remove the SD card.
- Power off your Gigabyte Mobile, by holding the power button.
- Hold down the Volume Up + Power Button [Volume Down + Power Button].
- Release all buttons when you see Boot Mode appears on your screen.
- Then choose the Recovery option, by using to navigate Volume Buttons and to confirm Power Button.
- Next, You will see Android exclamation mark.
- While holding down the Power button press and release Volume Up Button.
- Navigate with volume Buttons to select wipe data/factory reset option and Press the Power Button.
- Afterward, use the Volume Buttons to select option YES and press Power button to confirm.
- Finally Select reboot system now option.
- After wiping completed, insert SD card.
- Now again go to recovery mode and Choose option Apply update from SD.
- In this step, Locate Downloaded Firmware file from Storage.
- Tap on the Firmware file and install it.
- You have successfully updated your phone Firmware.
How to Exit Recovery Mode
You must exit from recovery mode if you stuck at any operation or don’t understand recovery. Follow these steps to come out from recovery.
- After you enter the Recovery Mode menu.
- Now choose option Reboot, using Volume buttons and press the Power button to confirm.
- After that, Your device will be rebooted automatically.
- You have successfully exited Recovery mode.
Note: You can also exit recovery mode by pressing the power button for a while.
Flashing Gigabyte with Flash Tool
You need Computer, flash tool, flash file, USB drivers, and USB cable to flash with this method. All data will be deleted after flashing, so backup all personal data like photos and contacts, etc to prevent data loss.
Follow these steps to flash your Gigabyte Android phone with flash tool.
- First download the Gigabyte flash file, flash tool, and USB drivers on your PC.
- Then, Install the USB drivers for your Android phone.
- Next, launch Flash tool on your computer.
- Then, switch off your Gigabyte mobile.
- Next, press and hold
- Volume Up + Power Button {or}
- Volume Down + Power Button
- After that, Connect your Gigabyte phone to the computer with a USB cable.
- Then, browse the flash file in the flash tool and click on the download button.
- Now flashing start on your phone.
- Flashing takes 10 to 15 minutes. Please wait until flashing completed.
- After flashing completed, Your device automatically rebooted.
- Flashing done on your mobile.
- Finally, remove the phone from the PC.
